Little Kip Beach is the choice of the local families who live on the island. The beach is a calm place to swim and even have a barbecue. If your children like to play in the open water then Kontiki Beach is probably the safest beach, there is a choice of shops restaurants and water sports on offer there and the surf at the beach is slowed down by a wave breaking system. Jan Thiel Beach has great diving and snorkeling in the open bay and there is also an enclosed wading area for children. One of the busiest beaches on Curacao is called Cas Abo Beach it has soft white sand and the sun is always on the beach it is a very popular beach. Port Marie is a quieter beach with good facilities for novice divers and snorkelers.
